Join us for the grand opening of the new City Library!
Mark your calendar for 7-14 February 2014 for the grand opening of the new City Library! Come along and view the amazing spaces featuring state of the art library facilities. Experience the exciting program of activities and discover new opportunities with spaces to relax and read.
The City Library is home to the Digital Hub, History Hub, Innovation Lab & Media Lab with Art Exhibition Spaces, and the Outdoor Reading Room.
This is exciting new community space is located in Rundle Place, Rundle Mall (enter via Francis Street), Adelaide. The City Library is a multipurpose, functional and inspirational space and we are excited to be able to welcome everyone to share in its possibilities.
Since the announcement of the new City Library the Adelaide City Council has released a number of project newsletters and Newsletters #1-4 are available via adelaidecitycouncil.com/library.
A pocket guide to the City Library has been released containing information on the spaces within the library and the cultural events planned in the City Library from February 7 2014 and is available here.
Visit the Adelaide City Council libraries website and book now into exciting new programs. Some program highlights include Digital Hub social media training, 3D printing workshops, Adelaide Writers’ Week sessions, DocWeek documentary screenings and Green Living- a monthly program focused on sustainability, food security and gardening.
